Rick Bass

Rick Bass is an American writer and an environmental activist. Bass won The Story Prize for books published in 2016 for his collection of new and selected stories, For a Little While. He was also awarded the General Electric Younger Writers Award.

She is an American author best known for her Anna Pigeon series of mystery novels set in national parks in the United States. Barr created the Anna Pigeon series while working at her second seasonal job in Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas.

Born in 1960, Wilton Barnhardt is a former sports reporter and authored number of books. He teaches fiction-writing to undergraduate and graduate students at the North Carolina State University in Raleigh.

Linda Barnes is an American mystery writer. She is best known for her series featuring Carlotta Carlyle, a redheaded detective from Boston. She won Edgar Award for her novel A Trouble of Fools in 1987.

He was an American crime writer, best known for three novels he wrote between 1946 and 1948. The Deadly Percheron, The Burning Glass, So Young to Die, A Shroud for Grandmama are some of his notable works.

Amiri Baraka

He was an American writer of poetry, drama, fiction, essays and music criticism. He was the author of numerous books of poetry and taught at several universities. He received the Beyond Margins Award, in 2008 for "Tales of the Out and the Gone".
